Jakob Niemann is an artist and designer who works with materials and the processes through which things take shape.

With a background in engineering and industrial design, he moves between artistic research, furniture design, material experimentation and hands-on fabrication. He is particularly interested in natural materials and the knowledge embedded in traditional manufacturing methods.

Alongside his own artistic work, he collaborates with artists, designers and institutions to develop, prototype and produce complex physical pieces. He often moves between the conceptual and the practical, developing fabrication methods, solving technical challenges, and translating ideas into tangible objects and environments. His experience ranges from woodworking and CNC manufacturing to metal fabrication, prototyping and large-scale installation.

Based in Stockholm, he works from a collective workshop where he continues to develop his own projects and collaborate with other artists.
